Are you up for the 2.6 Challenge?
On Sunday 26th April 2020 the 40th London Marathon would have been taking place. Instead the 2.6 Challenge has been launched. Project Gambia is joining this challenge to help us raise funds to purchase food packages to be distributed to poor communities in The Gambia.
what does it involve? The 2.6 Challenge can be anything that works for you, at home in the garden, part of your daily exercise routine. You can do it in one day or over the week, it’s up to you. You must however make sure that you adhere to the government’s guidelines on social distancing and exercise.
So you could: go for a walk, walk the dog, go up and down stairs, exercise for 26 mins, run, walk bike for 2.6 miles/Km or 26 miles/Km, get 26 people on a video call, play 26 games, bake 26 cakes…anything you like.
The Challenge will be launched on Sunday; ask your friends and family to sponsor you. Let us know what you are planning to do. You could send us a photo wearing your project Gambia T-shirt (if you have one) before and after the Challenge so we celebrate your achievement.
Help us to make a difference to people’s lives in The Gambia who are not only facing the threat of COVID 19 but do not know where their next meal is coming from.
