Project Gambia UK Clothing Shop
In December 2016, the first Project Gambia Shop was set up in the Latrikunda area of The Gambia. Managed by Florence Bernard, the shop sells good quality, second-hand clothes, shoes, bags, furniture etc. These items are donated by people in the UK and shipped to The Gambia. Items are sold in the shop at much more affordable prices in comparison to the local markets. Once wages and rent are paid, the profit is ploughed into the projects we run in The Gambia.
Money raised from the shop not only pays for schooling for children and but has also funded the building of classrooms at Madiana, food packages during COVID, the refurbishment of schools, school resources and the school feeding programme. Income from the shop will continue to be used to support other projects we will be developing in The Gambia.
You can help us get more children to school and develop more projects by donating any new or used adult, children and baby clothing, shoes, accessories, bedding, towels and other household items and furniture.
